After the explosion, KiKi deals with a horrible tragedy, Joe ends up in the hospital, and Alfonso has to re-think everything.
As Carlo gets ready to make the big move, James wants a truce, Dr. DuBois and Larry Lawrence make funeral arrangements, and KiKi tries to figure out how she can move on.
Carlo begins rehearsals for the play and meets his egomaniacal disaster of a director, Luisa DelForno; Cousin Alfonso and Aunt Connie fly into New York for Vito's brother's funeral; and Anna Perdente(guest-star Beverly Sanders) makes a terribly upsetting announcement. IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR LAURA HARDEN.
After getting some upsetting news, Carlo goes to his fortress of solitude, the Bainbridge movie theater in The Bronx, where he is accosted by the insane usher(Judy Tenuta), and finally has it out with his parents, Anna(Beverly Sanders) and Albert(Greg Lucey).
Rehearsals continue to go bad for Carlo(Michael Vaccaro) as Joshua Feldman(Jerry Rosenberg), the producer, finally shows up and throws a big party for the cast; Victor(Mel England) gets drunk and makes a fool of himself; and danger strikes due to a mysterious backstage mishap.
The series ends with Joe finally getting out of the hospital; Carlo making his Broadway debut; and a visit by an old "friend."
